Jonathan Fine is the principal and founder of Fine Strategies, LLC, a leading provider of legal and business consulting services for sports industry clients. With more than 30 years of experience in sports law and business, Fine has advised numerous clients on diverse issues, including facility development, team ownership transfers, financing, sponsorship and marketing, media rights, intellectual property, and government affairs.

Fine’s expansive career includes prior roles as general counsel with both NBA and NHL teams, full-time law professor, interim general counsel to a regional commercial airline, and he continues to serve in his role of Assistant General Manager (USA) for the Hiroshima Toyo Carp of Nippon Professional Baseball. Fine received his law degree from Emory University and his undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia. He maintains active state bar licenses in North Carolina and Virginia.

Jonathan and his wife Kathy make their home in Charlotte, North Carolina, where they enjoy spending time with their adult children and not-so-adult grandchildren.
